More than just birds but no photos

I love birds and am a spiritual person. I believe birds are messengers of information and come around when the universe has a message for you. I purchased this book because a Cooper's Hawk landed on my patio wall 2 days in a row and most bird books are generic and didn't offer the deep spiritual meaning I was looking for. This book did and was so right on with the message it was pretty eerie. If you're looking for photos you wont find any here. if you're looking for a bit more of an explanation on the type of birds then this is a little gem to cherish.

I have been looking for a thorough book on the wisdom of birds, and after a long search I finally came across a volume that fit my needs, and that I truly enjoyed. Mrs. Morrison created a friendly, thoughtful book, which dove deeper into the subject matter than most of the other books on the subject by including information on Goddesses with Bird symbolism, to detailed guides on how to connect to a specific bird. Written in a wonderfully warm tone, that did not read like a lecture, but more like a caring conversation, the Author created a book, to which I will return to often for reference.

I just finished reading this book today and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. The writing was clear and concise with a nice style that was a pleasure to read. The selection of birds covered in the book was wide enough to cover most of the common bird totems and the information provided about each bird was quite informative. Obviously it is not an all inclusive resource but it is a great jumping off point for study or work with particular bird energies. All in all, a really nice read.
